Tailor Made Journeys for Independent Travelers

Sometimes travel dreams beckon us beyond the ordinary and typical to the unusual and unique. What are your dreams?

Insider places with private guides in Florence or Rio? Cuisine and culture in Thailand? –Shade tree coffee plantation in the cloud forests of Nicaragua? Private yacht charter in the Caribbean? Villa rental in Italy? Tented or flying safari in Africa?

If you can dream it, we can deliver it! Anything is possible.

Most people wouldn’t think about buying a piece of clothing that doesn’t fit – even online. When customizing your arrangements, finding the right fit can make or break your travel dreams.

Here are five questions to consider and answer in planning your tailor–made journey:

  1. What is important to YOU? What do you expect?  Are you looking for a particular level of comfort or luxury?  Do you have any special places, sights, activities or experiences in mind?  What three things would make or break your trip?1. What is important to YOU? What do you expect?  Are you looking for a particular level of comfort or luxury?  Do you have any special places, sights, activities or experiences in mind?  What three things would make or break your trip?
  2. What is the focus of your trip? Is your goal to relax or do you want lots of activity? Do you want to stay put or move around?  Would you like to pursue any special interests or hobbies?  Is it a romantic get–away for two or family with something for everyone from the kids to grandparents?
  3. When do you want to travel? Plan dates – but with some flexibility. Prices change as a destination moves from its high season to a “shoulder” season and then low season. How many days can you be away? What is the earliest date you could leave? What is the latest date you could return?
  4. What is your budget? Are you on a tight budget or is this a special occasion, or something in between?  Your budget needn’t be hard and fast, but the options are too vast to approach without your figure or a price range in mind.
  5. What are your expectations? What are you willing to compromise in order to save money?  If your budget is tight, decide whether it matters that your room is right on the beach or at the back of the hotel without any view. With travel, like much in life, you get what you pay for. If you have a bare bones budget, do not expect top—drawer luxury.
